Commenting should not be a laborious procedure. No one force us to comment a blog. We do it because we like it, we do it because we want to give a positive feedback to a well written article. Having a dofollow backlink working as a small reward is always good but will also lure spammers, linking maniacs and online marketers. If all these cause enough trouble to webmasters a dofollow -> nofollow conversion is near :)
